CALGARY: <\/b>The Runnymede Society is delighted to announce that Tim Haggstrom has been appointed as its new National Director.<\/p>

Prior to joining as National Director, Tim completed a clerkship with the Court of Appeal for Saskatchewan.\u00a0 He holds a J.D. from the University of Saskatchewan, a B.Math from the University of Waterloo, and a B.B.A. from Wilfrid Laurier University.\u00a0 Before his clerkship in Saskatchewan, Tim completed a term of articles with a national law firm in Calgary.\u00a0 He was recently called to the bar in Alberta.<\/p>

While in law school, Tim served as President of the Runnymede Chapter at the University of Saskatchewan.\u00a0 He also worked as a research assistant to Professor Dwight Newman, primarily on topics in constitutional law.\u00a0 His writing on the subject of administrative law has been published in The Supreme Court Law Review.\u00a0 Tim is fluent in French and English, and he has served for two years as coach for a team in the French-speaking division of the Canadian National Negotiation Competition.<\/p>

Building on Runnymede\u2019s successes over the past eight years, Tim plans to continue to grow and expand the organization.<\/p>

Tim noted, \u201c I look forward to continuing our work building a forum for robust and intellectually diverse discussion upholding Runnymede\u2019s three core principles.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>

Avant de nous rejoindre comme directeur national, Tim \u00e9tait auxiliaire judiciaire \u00e0 la Cour d\u2019appel de la Saskatchewan.\u00a0 Il est titulaire d\u2019un doctorat de droit de l’Universit\u00e9 de la Saskatchewan, d\u2019un baccalaur\u00e9at en math\u00e9matiques de l’Universit\u00e9 de Waterloo et d\u2019un baccalaur\u00e9at en administration des affaires de l’Universit\u00e9 Wilfrid Laurier.\u00a0 Avant d’\u00eatre auxiliaire judiciaire en Saskatchewan, Tim a termin\u00e9 son stage dans un cabinet juridique national \u00e0 Calgary.\u00a0 Il a r\u00e9cemment \u00e9t\u00e9 admis au barreau de l\u2019Alberta.<\/p>

Lors de ses \u00e9tudes de droit, Tim a \u00e9t\u00e9 pr\u00e9sident de la section de la Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 Runnymede \u00e0 l’Universit\u00e9 de la Saskatchewan.\u00a0 Outre, il a \u00e9t\u00e9 assistant de recherche du professeur Dwight Newman, travaillant principalement dans le droit constitutionnel.\u00a0 Sa r\u00e9daction au sujet du droit administratif a \u00e9t\u00e9 publi\u00e9e dans la Supreme Court Law Review.\u00a0 Tim est bilingue en fran\u00e7ais et en anglais, et il est depuis deux ans coach d\u2019une \u00e9quipe francophone dans le Concours de n\u00e9gociation national canadien.<\/p>

En misant sur les r\u00e9ussites de Runnymede pendant les huit derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es, Tim pr\u00e9voit que l\u2019organisation continuera \u00e0 cro\u00eetre et \u00e0 s’\u00e9largir.<\/p>

Tim a remarqu\u00e9 : \u00ab Je me r\u00e9jouis de continuer notre travail d’\u00e9tablir un forum pour les discussions rigoureuses, caract\u00e9ris\u00e9es par la diversit\u00e9 intellectuelle, afin de maintenir les trois principes essentiels de Runnymede \u00bb.<\/p>
