Dans cette politique, le consentement des parents est n\u00e9cessaire pour qu\u2019un \u00e9l\u00e8ve non binaire ou transgenre \u00e2g\u00e9 de moins de 16 ans utilise le pr\u00e9nom ou le pronom de son choix. Cet \u00e9v\u00e9nement tentera de tracer les limites constitutionnelles des droits parentaux et traitera de la constitutionnalit\u00e9 de la politique \u00e0 la lumi\u00e8re des articles 7 et 15 de la Charte, tout en proposant des modifications possibles pour la rendre conforme \u00e0 la Constitution, le cas \u00e9ch\u00e9ant. Le panel tentera de fournir des opinions vari\u00e9es, mais qui se fient aux formulations de la politique et aux principes d\u2019interpr\u00e9tation constitutionnels afin de mieux comprendre si la politique brime r\u00e9ellement les droits des enfants, dans quelle mesure et comment l\u2019\u00e9viter. Under this policy, parental consent is required for a non-binary or transgender student under the age of 16 to use their chosen name or pronouns. This event will seek to outline the constitutional boundaries of parental rights and address the constitutionality of the policy in light of Sections 7 and 15 of the Charter, while proposing possible amendments to ensure its compliance with the Constitution, if applicable. The panel will aim to provide diverse opinions based on the wording of the policy and constitutional interpretation principles to better understand whether the policy indeed infringes on children\u2019s rights, to what extent, and how to avoid it.
