Join us at the Albany Club on July 17th at 7PM for “Freedom of Expression and Aboriginal Law: A Conversation with Justice Harry LaForme“
Justice LaForme is a former judge of the Ontario Court of Appeal, now practicing as Senior Counsel at Olthuis Kleer Townshend. He was the first Indigenous person in Canada to sit on an appellate court. He has been an outspoken critic of antisemitism in the wake of the October 7th massacre. We look forward to hearing him elaborate on his thought-provoking writings on this subject, as well as his years on the bench and his perspectives on jurisprudence. Light refreshments will be served.
