This talk will examine the Supreme Court of Canada’s divided decision in Quebec (Attorney General) v. Senneville, focusing on the meaning and limits of section 12 of the Charter. Professor Fehr will discuss his scholarly work on the case, his experience being cited by both the majority and dissent, and his forthcoming appearance before a parliamentary committee.
